We are His Jewel
After finding myself in the ashes of abuse, abandonment, and divorce at a young age, my life was forever changed when I encountered the love of the Father and His words of truth washing over me saying, “You are a jewel.” Over the next 18 years, as God continued to redeem and restore my heart through worship and the creative arts, He reminded me of the name He used to call me when I was still covered in shame….a jewel. Just like a precious diamond that starts as a lump of coal buried deep under the earth, we are all hidden treasures, sought after, purified through pressure, and valuable beyond measure.
To restore to them beauty for ashes, the oil of gladness for mourning, and the garment of praise for heaviness. Isa. 61:3
