The Parting of the Red Sea

(Part 8 of my story)

This was my 4th of July 5 years ago in 2020… a safe, peaceful home in Kansas City, far from the terror, torment, and chaos of my abusive marriage, and truly a place of freedom and rest.

…It was my miracle home that God provided and led me to in a way that only He could just 4 months after my awakening to the hidden abuse in my marriage.

Two months prior, when the Lord made it clear that I was to going to move back to KC, I didn’t know HOW it was gonna happen, or WHO was gonna help, or WHERE I was gonna live…and I honestly didn’t even think about it. I just knew God said it, and that’s all I needed to know. 

I already had a proven track record with Him moving me and providing housing over the previous 13 years to know He was trustworthy. He had told me to “Obey” (part 7 of my story), and day by day, as I was obedient to follow Him and “do the next thing”, He was faithful to bring everything I needed and more! 

Without me ever asking anyone to help, GOD provided everything I needed above and beyond, and with flying colors!  

Early May, as I called my ministry partners to say I was moving in 3 weeks, a couple immediately replied, “We’re going to drive you to Kansas City.” A week later another couple said “We’re going with you too! …And we’re going to pack everything for you into the U-Haul and drive it there…” (14 hours away)…

Not only did that happen, they also gathered a group of 9 people to load the 26 ft. U-Haul from my 2nd floor apartment…and they scrubbed and cleaned my kitchen and bathroom spotless before leaving, (and more!) as I was completely beginning to fall apart. 

I had already been separated for 3 months, and had no idea the utter pain and grief that my body was going to be feeling that day as I was preparing to leave GA. The heartache of my husband not loving me enough to truly repent, to change, or to even care about what he was doing to destroy me over the 5 years was beyond unbearable. I could barely breathe as I felt my soul being ripped in two. 

I didn’t know that I would actually be incapable of driving a car to KC that day, which is why God had provided not just one couple to drive the U-Haul, but another couple to drive the car behind it, so I could just rest, cry, and grieve in the back seat. 

Over the 3 days of packing, moving, and driving, I never had to lift a box, drive a car, or think about what to eat. Everything was provided for…including the money to pay for it! The U-Haul, the gas, the AirBnB…everything was paid for!

They had told me in advance on the phone, “ you’re not gonna pay for anything.” Months later they shared that the Lord had blessed them with a large sum of money that they were praying about what to do with, and when I called they knew it was for me!

There is so much more to this story of God’s provision for me… I already had a nice queen size bed, but the Lord put it on somebody’s heart to give me their beautiful queen size mattress, and boxspring along with other furniture. And when I prayed about why God was giving me another bed, he said, “I’m not letting you take the old into the new.”

… that went for my car as well….3 weeks before moving to KC, my car literally broke down to the point where it wasn’t even worth fixing. It had been a good car for 6 years, but the Lord wasn’t gonna let me take it into the new season. So I went I KC with no car…but He had that covered too…

This is the kind of Husband God is for his daughters who are suffering in abuse. He is a jealous lover, and will move heaven and earth to fight for her and bring her to safety!

He is not a man that he should lie, and if He is leading you out of a dark and dangerous place, you can trust Him provide ALL that u need! He is a loving Father, and he keeps His word! He will never leave you nor forsake you!
